News Americas, NEW YORK, NY, Fri. July 14, 2017: A five-piece Grammy nominated Jamaican roots reggae band has released its own strain of marijuana herb products and seeds in Colorado.
According to South Florida Caribbean news, Raging Fyah, signed a major deal recently with Elite Organics in Colorado and created the ‘Everlasting Kush’ strain.
The strain is named after the group’s Grammy nominated album ‘Everlasting’ and is now available in store at Rock And Robins Music And Medical Marijuana Shop in Fort Collins, Colorado, the first store in the US that is both a record shop and marijuana sanctuary.”
As production increases, it will sell to other dispensaries in Colorado.
“It’s a million dollar industry and it provides many job opportunities and health benefits to many,” Raging Fyah lead singer, Conroy Willis was quoted as saying. “Raging Fyah saw the need to be on the frontline of the revolution. I really hope the Jamaican government comes forward and is willing to talk about Jamaica’s future in the legal world of cannabis. Jamaica (is) missing out on lots of revenue.”
Raging Fyah band was formed 2006 and consists of five performers, three of whom are graduates of the Edna Manley College of the Visual and Performing Arts. Willis is the lead singer, while Demar Gayle is the keyboard player; Anthony “Tony” Watson, the drummer; Delroy “Pele” Hamilton, the bass player and the lead guitarist is Cortland “Gizmo” White.
Their influence ranges from Bob Marley, Peter Tosh, Bunny Wailer, Third World, Beres Hammond, Inner Circle to Maroon 5 among others.
The news comes as United Cannabis successfully registered its aromatherapy roll-on, capsules, and sublingual drop products with Jamaica’s Ministry of Health through its subsidiary, Caribbean Research & Development Limited (CRD). The company said this week it will now secure facilities, hire and train staff, and establish the necessary contacts to begin production within 90 days. The company has earmarked $2 million to facilitate the necessary expansion and operations of CRD. For investors, this means that United Cannabis could begin generating revenue from these products later this year.
