Mar. 4, 2010: The Kansas City Chiefs yesterday dropped Bahamas-born player Devard Darling.The release comes as the Nassau, Bahamas native spent the 2009 season on injured reserve with the Chiefs. Darling, (6-1, 213), has played in 46 games (10 starts) with Baltimore (2004-07) and Kansas City (2008). He entered the NFL as a third-round choice (82nd overall) of Baltimore in the 2004 NFL Draft.

The Cubs are hoping to have him in camp before spring training ends, and the most likely destination is high Single-A or Double-A, ESPN said.However, Major League Baseball still needs to sign off on the deal, and Serrano must pass a physical.Serrano allegedlt throws between 89-92 mph with a good breaking ball.

CaribWorldNews, BRIDGETOWN, Barbados, Mon. Mar. 8, 2010: Jockey Pat Husbands and his horse Sterwins ran away with the 29th Sandy Lane Barbados Gold Cup at the Garrison Savannah on Saturday, Feb. 6th. Sterwins and Husbands stormed from last to first to give owner Eugene Melnyk his second Gold Cup win. Second was the Gay Smith-owned Bribon, with Irish jockey Johnny Murtagh aboard while top creole Apostle, ridden by Anderson Trotman, ran a `blinder` to finish third after setting the early pace.
